You are getting the natural organic shells only. The seeds have been removed and the shells sanitized - make sure you buy soap nuts shells (de-seeded) only, as the seeds in soap nuts will stain and should not be used.

Using couldn't be more simple (cost effective too!) -- Just put 4-5 soap nuts (about 1/2 ounce - 14 grams) in the wash bag included and place in your washer. (Approximately 5-8 loads of laundry) Once done, leave the soap nuts to dry if you have time, if you don't it's ok and re-use up to 8 times.

Afterwards you can throw the used soap nuts onto your garden or compost as they are biodegradable and perfect for grey water systems. Then pop another 4-5 soap nuts in your wash bag and you're ready for another wash load.

Take out when you transfer laundry to the dryer.
